The Virtual Scottish Highlands Offers Terrific Sponsorship Opportunities for Scottish Business

THE SECOND LIFE® ECONOMY IS TOO LARGE TO IGNORE

There are over 14 million accounts in Second Life®. That is a population the size of Holland, Belgium and Eire combined. Can any company afford to ignore such a large market?

In the last sixty days around 1.4 million residents logged in.

The in world economy saw transactions exceeding GB£400,000,000 in 2009.

In-world currency, that is money brought into Second Life® and entering circulation at the end of 2010 was L$7 billion which equates to GB£20,000,000.

However, in addition to the above, we have grown our visitor numbers to 7,000 unique visitors each month and many times that number in repeat visits. These are all potential customers of tourist and other Highland businesses.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THE VIRTUAL SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

Once acquired, it is unlikely that prestigious attractions will ever be relinquished by sponsors owing to our policy of providing grandfathered rates to our early adopters.

  • Virtual Scottish Highlands AdboardShared Adboards: A single slot, repeating about every ten minutes in one of our adboards costs from 20p per week - yes, only £10.40 per annum. When it is clicked it offers a direct link to your website or a notecard containing further information.  Click to open the map in a separate window.

  • Dedicated Adboards: An entire adboard dedicated you your company, with a fixed image or selection of images, costs from £25 per month with a six month minimum term. Image as above.

  • Aleister Crowley's Boleskine House - once owned by Jimmy Page of Led ZeppelinAttraction Sponsorship: There are a growing number of attractions in the Virtual Scottish Highlands which are crying out to be sponsored by you and to promote your company and product. Examples are the Story of Scotland Exhibition in Fort Augustus Abbey; Scottish Places Exhibition in the replica Balnain House; the Crystal Maze game; the Nessie Hunt game; spooky Boleskine House (shown here); the Gaelic Centre; the Rare Breeds Farm; the Ice Rink; the Cinema; the Church; the Caledonian Canal working locks and swing bridge; the Heritage game etc. Sponsorship of these items starts from £25 per month with a minimum of twelve months and involves your business or product being prominently displayed.

  • Loch Ness Centre SignboardSim Sponsorship: The next stage of sponsorship is a sim. A sim is held on a server and the server space costs us money. Sponsorship of a sim starts at £85 per month and is for a minimum of one year with a rolling three month contract. Signs announce your sponsorship as the sim is entered and/or exited as shown here. We would like to set up a number of low grade sims to enhance the scenic feel of the Virtual Scottish Highlands. We would also like to set up a Culloden sim which is likely to be exceedingly busy. Check out our development map page. Click the image for more about the real Loch Ness Centre.

  • Jacobite Cruises on the Virtual Loch NessSpecial Project Sponsorship: Sponsorship projects do not always have to be static buildings or exhibitions. With Jacobite Cruises we have engineered a series of cruises and water taxis on Loch Ness which promote Jacobite's "Experience Loch Ness" in the Virtual Scottish Highlands. Do you have a similar project? It may cost less than you think. Please ask for a quote.  Click the image to find out more about the real Jacobite Cruises.

Although there are a growing number of opportunities, prestige sponsorship locations can only become more scarce. Once acquired, it is unlikely that they will be relinquished as we intend to offer our early adopters grandfathered pricing. Don't delay contact us today.

The integration of virtual modelling with the Internet could be the future. Many love virtual worlds, many see them as a waste of time, but love them or hate them, can you afford to ignore them? Sign up for a free account today and explore what is on offer?
